It’s so AMAZING we have so many events lined up this early in the season! We’ll assume you’re already done with event logistical planning, and you need to get your event known to everyone. What do you do? Of course, the obvious is to tell all your friends and family. How? Is that enough? There’s never enough! We’ve compiled a list to the top places to go to post your event and get the buzz going!

First e-mail our Fundraising Captain, Erin Shulsinger, so your event could be added to her weekly HOT EVENTS e-mail to our internal team. Try not to conflict event dates unless your target audiences are completely different.

Team In Training is at it again raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and giving you a chance to try out your best pick-up line! Hosted by your teammates, Danielle Hanes, Becca Woolf & Jessica Mahon.

Who doesn’t Love those cheesy Pick Up lines?? Well if you have one that you have been dying to use, now is your chance…

Come to South on Sunday March 29th @ 2:00pm wearing a T-Shirt with your favorite Pick-Up Line!

• If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U & I together…
• Did you fart? Because you blew me away…
• Was there an earthquake? or did you just rock my world…
• Your so hot, when I look at you I get a tan…
• I have never had a dream come true until the day that I met you..

There will be a panel of judges who will pick a WINNER for the Best Pick Up Line. Winner gets a PRIZE! If you really can’t come up with a pick up line then use one that everyone knows.. who cares it will be fun no matter what! The people who DO NOT wear a T-Shirt but would still like to enter their Pick Up Line into the contest will have to pay a $5 Entry Fee.

South also has Drink specials going on Sundays! We will have Beer Pong & Flip Cup set up as well! $5.00 Entry Fee (All Donated to the Leukemia & Lymphomia Society)

ALSO-This will be the day of the Elite 8 Basketball Tournament for March Madness! The Games will be playing as well so you don’t have to worry about missing anything.

The Great Race of Agoura was established in 1986 by a group of parents looking to raise money for their children’s elementary schools. Now professionally produced by Endurance Events and in its 24th year, The Great Race of Agoura Hills (March 28) is one of the largest running events in the Los Angeles area and continues to donate to many schools in Agoura Hills and Oak Park.

There are quite a few TNT participants running the race so you will have plenty of company! Our Team will be meeting at the Team In Training tent in Chumash Park. This is very close to where you will be picking up your race packets, so after you pick up your packets, come to the TNT tent to meet the rest of the Team.

The 10K race starts at 7:30 am, but it’s come to our attention that the lines to pick up your packet and register will most likely be very, very long on Saturday. So, if you still need to pick up your packet on Saturday please try to arrive by 6:00 am to park and pick up your packet so you will not be rushing before the race.

Registration opens at 6:00 am so if you still need to register for the race, please try to arrive by 5:45 am to park and register. We’ll start walking to the starting line as a Team by 7:00 am. Kristen will be at the TNT tent at 6:00 am and yes, she will actually be running the race with you guys (please don’t laugh!) Coach Craig will be at the tent at 6:00 am as well to offer an advice and assistance!

Mayor’s Marathoners and Seattle Rock ‘n’ Rollers Recommitment is here and we want to celebrate with you. Join your campaign manager, coaches, captains, mentors and San Diego Rock ‘n’ Rollers by handing in your recommitment paper work. What better way to do it than at a party to celebrate your accomplishment. Its also a great time to ask any last minute questions you might have.

The party begins at March 31st 7:00 p.m. and goes until the last team member leaves; so don’t worry if you can’t make it right at 7:00. If you have any questions about the party ask one of us on Sunday at practice. But don’t miss it as the San Diego Recommitment Party was a blast. And, just so we can have everyone attend we’ve cancelled all the mentor runs for that evening so get your running in that morning.

Look at those happy faces, minutes before the rain started to pour down on us for a little bit. This week we started at 7:30am in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was a hilly 8 mile trail run, but it was a nice change of scenery. The views up top were amazing as we could see the Santa Monica & Venice beaches.

It’s awesome to see so many fundraising events planned this early in the season! There’s been so many that we can’t be at all of them. This is where you come in.

If you have an event coming up, please write us a small article on what it’s all about! Give us the details (date, location, times, websites, and flyers), and we’ll post it here on the site! Realize that you can’t rely on just Erin’s e-mails to push your event out, or just an e-vite. Try to use as many resources as you can get if you want to your event to succeed.

If your event already passed, we would like to know how it went! Send us links to photo albums, videos – all of it. Please write us a little recap of how you thought your event went. Let the readers know of what your expectations were, and also what you’ve learned coming out of it. Why should you do this? So we can all learn as a group, so our events could improve as time goes on. It’s great to learn from other people’s experiences. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel if someone else wants to do the same event!
